Our adult day care service provides a safe, welcoming environment for adults with dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries and additional support needs across Manchester and Trafford. The service runs Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm from our centre in Stretford, giving people a chance to socialise, take part in activities and enjoy a freshly prepared meal.
We take time to get to know each person individually — their interests, their preferences and how they like to spend their time. Activities are planned to be inclusive and enjoyable, and nothing is compulsory. Our approach is person-centred, meaning the day is shaped around each individual rather than a fixed programme. Families tell us that their loved ones often come home happy, engaged and looking forward to coming back.
The day service runs from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. During that time, individuals can take part in a range of activities, enjoy a freshly prepared meal, and benefit from support from our experienced team. Each person's support is planned around their own needs and goals, and reviewed regularly in conversation with the individual and their family where appropriate.
A typical day begins with a warm welcome and refreshments on arrival. Morning activities might include arts and crafts, gentle movement, music, quizzes or games. A hot meal is served at lunchtime, followed by afternoon activities which are often a little calmer — such as reminiscence, music or quiet social time. Everything is designed to be enjoyable and is adapted to individual abilities and preferences.
Our service supports adults with a range of needs, including dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries, physical disabilities and additional support needs. We welcome people who would benefit from social interaction, structured activities and a welcoming daytime environment. Please contact us to discuss whether the service may be right for your situation.
