About Diverse Active Living
Person-Centred Adult Day Care in Manchester & Trafford
Founded in 2016 by Alison Davies and Scott Shelmerdine, Diverse Active Living provides inclusive adult day care and wellbeing support across Manchester, Trafford and Greater Manchester.
We support adults with dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries and additional support needs through structured activities, social interaction, community access and compassionate person-centred care.

As a day service, we are not required by law to register with the CQC. However, we work closely with local authorities and undergo regular audits and compliance checks to maintain high standards of care, safety and support.

What services does Diverse Active Living provide?
Who can attend the day service?
Our service is open to adults who benefit from social stimulation, support with daily living, or respite for their carers. We support individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, brain injuries, and other conditions.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. Early morning and evening support is also available between 8am–10am and 3pm–7pm.
Do you provide transport?
Yes, we offer transport to and from the day centre for individuals across Manchester and Trafford. An additional fee applies based on location and mobility needs.
Are you registered with the CQC?
Day services are not legally required to register with the CQC, but we undergo ad-hoc audits and local authority compliance checks to ensure the highest standards of care.
