Learning Disabilities Day Centre in Manchester & Trafford

Our inclusive adult day service welcomes adults with learning disabilities as part of a warm, person-centred environment in Stretford, supporting families across Manchester and Trafford. For many families the questions are about everyday life — a meaningful daytime routine, opportunities to socialise, and reliable support they can depend on.

We are an inclusive adult day service rather than a specialist clinical provider. We support adults with learning disabilities in a person-centred way alongside others, taking time to understand each individual — their abilities, interests, communication style and what makes a good day for them — and shaping support around the person rather than a fixed programme. A learning disability does not define anyone, and the emphasis is on inclusion, enjoyment and dignity.

Service Overview

The service runs Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm at our centre on Barton Road, Stretford. Support plans are built around each person's needs and goals, and we keep in regular communication with families and carers. Suitability is always discussed individually, so the best starting point is a conversation and a visit.

What to Expect

Days are built around a familiar routine, with activities adapted to individual abilities and interests, social time with others and a freshly prepared meal. Times of change — such as moving on from education, or a change in family circumstances — can be unsettling, and a consistent, welcoming day service can offer stability and familiar faces. We are happy to talk through how to support a gradual, comfortable start.
