Whether you have to pay for a day centre depends on two things: an adult social care needs assessment and your financial circumstances. In England, your local council may fund some or all of the cost if the assessment shows you have eligible needs and a financial assessment (means test) confirms you qualify. Does the council pay for adult day care?
