Day support lead by trained professionals

At Diverse Active Living we rely on our dedicated support teams to engage and support our clients with every step when transitioning to our service. This is achieved by respectfully understanding your wishes and wants throughout your time spent with us.

Our support teams are fully trained and understand how to support your loved ones.

Meet the team here

Alison Davies

Day Service Manager

Alison has worked in Adult Social Care for over 30 years, including working for the local authority on various teams including domiciliary and then specialising in mental health. Alison has supported individuals with challenging behaviour, paranoid schizophrenia, OCD, personality disorders and disability. Alison's extensive range of experience and knowledge within these areas has allowed her to build up professional relationships with multiple agencies involved within a persons care. It was during this time Alison realised the sheer lack of affordable, and good standard, adult day services within the communities that can support individuals with complex needs sufficiently.

Alison recognised how some day services can seem repetitive and lack stimulation and engagement.

Scott Shelmerdine

Operations Manager

Scott has experience in marketing and finance and applied these skills to the growth and strength of the day service. Scott has a keen interest in planning, control and performance improvement which he uses to work towards providing a higher standard of care and experience for our clients at the day service.

Our support team

Our support team is made up of dedicated and experienced support workers who are committed to our clients and respect their responsibilities of ensuring each client has the best experience possible whilst at the day service.

All of our staff are fully trained to a high standard and are DBS checked with references before starting their roles. We are always looking for new ideas to bring to the centre and this is something our support team do with ease.

Being involved in creating clients support plans and adding value to their experience is very rewarding.

When we recruit new team members, we are looking for someone that showcases empathy, patience and above all a caring nature. We make certain that the support teams we create, are that of a same nature we would expect for our own loved ones.
